yup

we did.
my biggest little and i made these.
well, her mostly, i did do some slathering of peanut butter and a touch of sideline drooling.

i need to be benched. i have been eating way too much junk and that bestie sugar is not doin mama any favors of late.

truth: i didn't eat these. well, one bite. that's really more of a taste-test to see if they were poison.

oreo stuffed brownies

want to make 'em?

1. make your brownie batter according to box or your own recipe. set aside.
2. take oreo and slather the top with peanut butter, drop it in greased cupcake liner. peanut butter side up.
3. pour brownie batter over the top- fill liner 2/3 full.
4. bake at 350 for about 12 minutes or longer depending on your oven.
5. eat 1 or more first to ensure there is no poison in brownie before feeding to others.
6. now you can share (what's left)

*if you want to pour a touch of batter in bottom of liner first and then put the oreo in that is fine too. it's allowed.

oh, big p.s.- aloha friday blog hop is about to go live later today! check back, i will have my link up at the end of the day and there are 3 giveaways plus the hop. get ready!!

it went something like this...

huh? where did that week-end go? i mean, there is a thief on the loose and he's pissing me off coz he stole my week-end.
yes, i realize it's tuesday and i am just now reporting this but yesterday i was out of sorts. so today, i am mad.

well, here is the re-cap of our week-end, before it was stolen.

saturday, sweet saturday. we are lovers that's for sure. i love you a lil less than friday but only because friday has the word aloha in it so nothing can trump aloha friday. sawry.

saturday we had plans of prom dress shopping with my biggest little. gasp. sigh. cry.
senior prom! kills me. she was seriously this tiny just minutes ago.

i know, you are looking at this photo thinking, "wow, how sad, she was a preemie who clearly had NO fat on her whatsoever". uhhhh, she really did have a neck, it's ummm, under all the chubs around her face.

biggest little was born almost 3 weeks early (or so they assumed) and weighed almost 9 pounds.
heck yeah! that's how you breed babies people!!
she's getting ready to do some weight lifting in this photo as you can see from her form.
i was pretty shocked at her weight since the dr. said she probably only weighed about 6 pounds and may have under developed lungs as he tried to convince me that i wasn't in labor and should just go home and relax.
doctor please!

well, i wish i could show you her dress but we didn't find it. she actually only tried one dress on. it was pretty but she wants to see lots more before she chooses. yay me!!! did i mention that i am not a fan of dress shopping? oh, well, i am not a fan of dress shopping.
but i did find my new fav bracelet at brandy melville.
then we had some play dates (i don't think you call them play dates after 9 years old but...)
there was pitch perfect, popcorn and a baby bunny involved. now that's a play date people!
the bunny loves to be hand fed popcorn.
not kidding.
see.
then we decided to take a walk. the littlest little takes walks like this.
on roller blades while bouncing a tennis ball.
her lazy mom takes walks like this. a full bag of candy. walking cancels out the candy no?
well, sunday after my all time low of taking a walk while eating a full bag of candy, (i still feel like it wasn't that terrible of an idea) i decided to green juice it.
we had a mini indoor soccer tournament in the afternoon. they had my little play goalie for a bit. whaaat? no thank you, we like all our teeth.
p.s. nobody scored on her.

oh silly you, thought you'd get outta here without seeing a soccer photo of my little?!
ha. no dice! this is our life from now til.......

*the middle little literally spent the entire week-end at school rehearsing for west side story as a jet. just in case you thought maybe i didn't like him and that was why there are no pics of him.

linking up here today. come on over!

sugar, pie, aloha. it's a hop i'll have you know.

yesterday was pi day.
you didn't know? i mean, it's only a super non-important day!

that's okay. i had you covered.
i helped my biggest little make my famous mini lemon pie tarts. by help, i mean i bought it all and supa-vised.

i'm a really great supervisor by the way. you wondered, i know.
i'm great at licking the spoons and letting her know when the oven timer is going off, things of that nature.

because it is always good to balance your sugar with more sugar, i went ahead and made these while on break from my kitchen supervising position.

i'm not posting the recipe because i wouldn't make these again.
they look all festive but they are fooling us with their colorful party sprinkles.
whatever cookie!
i have something better anyway,
it's aloha friday and you will never, NEVER trump aloha friday. not even with sprinkles on top...

hey week-end! what's the rush?

why ya gotta take so long to get here then rush out like that?
my week-end. never long enough.

this last week-end we had a soccer tournament in palmdale. palmdale. where is palmdale you say? exactly.

actually it wasn't so bad.
if you like places that have frost on the ground in the morning, winds that hit your face like a pissed off jackie chan, and father time who decided this was the week-end to rip that hour out from under your eyelids.
then, if all those things are cool with you, it's not so bad.

oh, can i complain for a minute?
if you are a parent and your kid is playing on the field, don't yell, "slit her throat", or "break her legs" as they are playing. it's not cute when your 12 year old is playing against the kid of a parent who yells that. i get it, soccer is a contact sport, but it's not prison ball.

so here is how friday started.

 hail. huh?
but after 1 minute it stopped, and we returned to our regularly scheduled broadcast, i mean forecast.
we discovered twiggy likes the fireplace. we also discovered twiggy is uh, ahem, a boy. that will have to be dealt with. sorry twigs.

saturday morning we packed up the car and headed up the freeway.
passing green landscapes, desolate dirt fields, snow capped mountains and then we were there.

of course i took lots of photos (until my camera died, oops) but i'm not gonna show you 13 thousand more photos of my kid playing soccer, maybe next week but this week you get a break. sometimes i am thoughtful like that.

after 2 games, oh, did we win? no. but that's not all there is to the game right? right? please (PLEASE) just agree and say right. we decided to head back and let the girls soak their lil tired muscles before heading to dinner.

oh i almost forgot! my little received a sportsmanship award from the referees after the 1st game.
then after the 2nd game she received the sportsmanship award again.
she deserved it. the girl worked so hard.
sometimes recognition of the heart you put into doing your job is worth it all and better than a win. right? please say right again- 9 games, no win, we need a "right", or an "AMEN" might work here too.

after dinner this girl was  ty-ty! she made a pillow fort, cocooned herself in blankets and just like that she was "lights out".

i got a text from home. my son and the neighbor baby, "tiny" were playing.
thems some cute boys!
tiny has all kinds of fun at our house with his "big" friends and boy do we love him!!!

my biggest little introducing him to the bunnies.

meanwhile back in palmdale.....
sunday morning came early.
we had to be to the field by 7am. that meant up, ready, awake, coffee'd up. we found a starbucks drive-thru and got our fix.
the starbucks dude at the window serenaded us. can't say that happens too often at 6:45 in the morning. my hawaiian wasn't super amused but i'm always down for a lil song -n- dance especially when there is caffeine involved.

on our way. not a gang sign she's throwin'. it's a W for win and for washington huskies-girl is obsessed.

the sun coming up over the fields.

yawn. my hawaiian and my littlest little.

there was frost on the field.
you would think this girl forgot where she came from but there was frost on the field. that means i shouldn't be out yet, but i was.

soon the game was over.

and we went to eat breakfast before hitting the road back home.
blueberry syrup? say what?

our drive home at 11am went something like this.....

that's all she wrote.

these moments

the more i blog the more i realize just how important this will one day be to my littles, and their littles and their littles....

the more i blog the more i recognize i have so much to say but so little at the same time.

what or who am i blogging for is a question i silently ask myself. then it's clear. these are the moments that i know need to be somewhere other than just a memory in my head.
