wreathy cute! (so i'm not the best at post titles)

i had been thinking about making a university of washington front door wreath for like ev-ah, and since my hawaiian bleeds purple and gold (truly) and since the dawgs are kickin ass and takin names faster than i can heat up my glue gun i thought i best do this thing! 

i am also severely behind schedule on all things fall décor. by the way, this lil craft project is from 2 weeks ago so i'm behind on posts as well and we won't go into saturday's game. let's just say that at one point i video taped the conversation my hawaiian had with the refs and the players. oh yes, hand motions, words, hand motions......few more words. they can hear him ya know.

i need to start the halloween stuff this week but i haven't even had a chance to spend time thinking about september even being here and now it's october!
i'm still wearing shorts and spraying my littles with spf as they rush past me jumping hurdles to avoid the sun protection 100 spray coming at their lil white (hawaiian??) bodies.
why do kids hate getting spf'd? is it just mine?
anyway.
i made a wreath, i made a wreath (<----you should sing that, not read that).

i'm not leaving real instructions but first, i do strongly suggest you start with festive shoes and a witch hat while you pick out your team colors, and to answer your thoughts, yes, i would have bought a pair if the shoes had fit.

tomorrow is my littlest little's first soccer game of the season. im promising myself that i will cheer quietly this year and stay in my seat. mama gets a lil 'cited.....im hoping there won't be any cleats to the face like last season.

its also football season. the dawgs are playing saturday, gonna go hang with some good friends and watch them win. please keep fingers crossed for our u.w. huskies.

this week went by really fast- probably because i was insanely busy and lost my mind a few times but whateva makes the week fly right?

i hosted a live radio show with my brother yesterday. our guest was the adorable and talented gregory metcalf. i just loves him. if you wanna listen to it you can find it here:

i got past the ice world on mario bros playing with 2 of the littles. of course this made the list.
have you ever played that game? have you played in the ice world? you slip and slide and fall into the icy waters and the jingle bell music slowly makes you mad. completing this is aloha worthy for dang sure!

fathers day this year was a little different for us.

shane and maile had gone to seattle for the week-end and didn't get home til about 6:30pm. i waited and waited and waited ALL DAY and when they got here it was a happy time for me.

i like all my lil chickens (and my rooster) all home here in the nest you see. not having them here all week-end was very strange. very quiet and incomplete.

thursday night was no biggie, i stretched out in the bed, had one less, "you brushed your teeth right?" reminder (that'd be for maile not shane) and slept in this awesome snore free zone that was not too shabby.

friday was fine too, i missed my girl on our evening bike ride but knew she was having a blast with her dad. i was getting lots of pictures sent to me and it looked fun!

saturday started to get a little ho-hum and i really started to miss them both something pretty big.

my son and i hung out and had a great one on one day (which is rare) but all of the sudden my bed seemed way too big and empty-oh wait, that's not true, remember that 17 year old that has the umbilical cord still attached? yeah, she was right there next to me every night, snuggled in.

but then sunday came-father's day-and i got my fathers day dinner bbq all together, got my house all cleaned and keala and i went to pick up the rest of our fam at the airport.

we had a lil food, lil desert (yep, that lush made her appearance), talked, laughed, broke out the mustaches..... ya know, normal stuff for round these parts.
